515 Hawker 750/800/850/900/1000 midsize jets are currently on the FAA registry. The airframe descends from the British Aerospace BAe 125 (itself tracing back to the de Havilland DH.125 and Hawker Siddeley HS.125), and carries three different manufacturer names on the registry for the models built after Raytheon acquired the Corporate Jets business in 1993 and rebranded it "Hawker": Raytheon Aircraft Company, Raytheon Corporate Jets Inc, and later Hawker Beechcraft Corp.
Three "Hawker" names, three different jets
Hawker Beechcraft marketed several distinct aircraft families under the "Hawker" name, and they're easy to mix up when researching one tail number. This guide covers the 750/800/850/900/1000 family descended from the BAe 125. It does not cover the smaller, unrelated Beechjet 400 / Hawker 400A (also sold as "Hawker 400XP"), or the Hawker 4000, an entirely separate all-new composite jet originally named "Hawker Horizon." Confirm which family your tail number belongs to before assuming its history applies to a different one.
Earlier aircraft from the same BAe 125 lineage, built before the 1993 rebrand, are registered under the older "BAe 125" or "HS 125" model names rather than "Hawker" -- a separate, smaller population on today's registry.
Why the ownership chain matters here
A midsize jet that has changed hands across a manufacturer-name succession like this has usually changed owners more than once too. The FAA can reissue a cancelled N-number to a different airframe after five years (14 CFR 47.15/47.17), so a search of only the current tail number can miss an accident filed under a prior registration -- or wrongly attach a different airframe's history to the one you're buying.
What a $79 report adds
Current FAA registration status, prior registrants, recent FAA filings (bills of sale, security agreements/liens), full NTSB accident and incident history, and the serial-number cross-match that catches an accident hiding under a prior tail number.
